Get credit towards your taxes for insulating your home in
2007!
California
Youth Energy Services (CYES) provides free residential energy
services and products, including a residential energy audit., and low cost attic
insulation for east bay residents. No income limits.
Tax
Credits and Rebates
Read
and follow the instructions carefully for tax credits and rebates. Note
that the cap on Residential Tax Credits (excluding renewable and solar hot water
systems) is $500 per home total between 2006 and 2008.

TAX CREDITS for up to 30% of the cost of the approved renewable
energy systems and Solar Hot Water systems installed
between Jan. 1, 2006 and Dec. 31, 2007. Maximum rebate is $2,000 per

TAX CREDITS for 10% of the cost of insulating existing homes,
including weatherstripping, caulking, wall, attic and floor insulation, and
new insulating windows, installed between Jan 1, 2006 and Dec. 31, 2007.

TAX CREDITS for qualifying energy-efficient or hybrid passenger
vehicles. Check here
for more information. Note that as of May, 2006, Toyota has reached its
goal of 60,000 hybrid vehicles, and the tax credit is reduced on Toyota
vehicles sold after this date.
