Non-Fiction Writing

This stimulating, interactive workshop can develop and hone your skills. Be prepared to love writing: memoir, essay, commentary, travel pieces, biography and other forms. Suitable for beginning and experienced writers. Classes held Thursdays at 10:00 a.m. We need 14 people to enroll to make the class happen. Jenna Jackson will be the instructor.

Open Forum on Chinese Art, History and Culture

The forum will be on paintings, origin of language, archaeology, historical events, food, festivals, music and customs.

When: Mondays, 10:00 - 12:00 noon

Reiki

Reiki is a gentle hands-on healing art that helps promote balance and healing—emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically. It stimulates the body’s own abilities to heal itself. Reiki is the positive energy that is present in the universe flowing through us all. This is the system of healing re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the late 1800s. Sign up for individual sessions on January 31 with Mitsuyo Moore.

Conversational Spanish

This class is for all levels. Sign up if you are interested. We need 14 people to enroll ask for an Adult School Teacher.

AARP Tax Help

Bring a tax form, income statements, social security number, and last year’s tax form.

When: Tuesday afternoons beginning February 5, 12:30 - 4:30 p.m., by appointment

Ray Gee will also be back for income tax help with 45 minute appointments beginning Thursday, January 31 from 9:00 to 1:00 p.m. Call for an appointment.

E Parking Permits

E Parking Permits are available to Seniors using our facility for $1 each. Use this to park more than one hour in a Residential E parking area. Also, get a FREE sticker to park in our lot so we know your car belongs there. No permits (including disabled placard) are good on street-sweeping days, so read the signs. No parking on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month, 12:30 - 3:30 p.m.
