Free Computer Classes for Seniors The Division on Aging is excited to offer free computer classes to seniors. Classes are offered in basic instruction, keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Windows, Excel, and Internet Access. Classes at the South Berkeley and West Berkeley Senior Centers are conducted by Berkeley Adult School instructors Karen Berna-Hicks, Shawn Usha, and John Kirkmeyer. Volunteer instructors Howard Chin and Barbara Whitstock conduct classes at the North Berkeley Senior Center using Macintosh equipment. Space is limited. Call and reserve your seat today! Tuesdays 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.: Internet class (Windows and MAC) with Barbara Whitstock Wednesdays 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.: General Instruction with Howard Chin (must have some experience) Fridays 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.: Dell Computers (Windows) with Polo Talnir, beginners welcome Note: Drop-in use of computers available when there are no classes for those who have been approved to do so by an instructor. |
