Berkeley CERT Citywide Exercise
On October 18, 2014, Berkeley Fire Department and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Volunteers invite you make a dent in disaster preparation.
The Berkeley & Albany CERT Citywide Exercise is a self-directed emergency exercise. On October 18th, participants do preparedness tasks at their own locations: at home, work, school, or in a neighborhood group near their home. Everyone is welcome to participate and no experience is necessary! Register Now and pledge to perform at least one preparedness task from the Activity Guides on October 18th!
This year, the City of Albany's community is combining efforts to conduct the exercise simultaneously with Berkeley. If you are an Albany resident register on the City of Albany's webpage.

The Berkeley CERT Citywide Exercise Activity Guides are designed to assist individuals and group leaders in conducting their own drill in coordination with the City on October 18, 2014. Participants will find objectives, sample scenarios, tips and directions on how to design an exercise and customize it to the scale appropriate for their own, their family's and their neighborhood's participation.
Previous exercises have taken place in 2012 and 2013, with thousands of participants throughout Berkeley. Information on past exercises can be found in the after action reports.
