Berkeley CERT Citywide Exercise
On October 18, 2014 a simulated 6.9 earthquake on the Hayward Fault strikes Berkeley. Will you know what to do?
The Berkeley CERT Citywide Exercise provides participants an opportunity to practice disaster response in their own neighborhoods. All individuals or community groups are encouraged to participate regardless of their level of CERT training or previous participation in City disaster preparedness activities.

The Berkeley CERT Citywide Exercise Participant Handbooks are designed to assist individuals and group leaders in conducting their own drill in coordination with the City on October 18, 2014. Participants will find objectives, sample scenarios, tips and directions on how to design an exercise and customize it to the scale appropriate for their own, their family's and their neighborhood's participation.
Previous exercises have taken place in 2012 and 2013, with thousands of participants throughout Berkeley. Information on past exercises can be found in the after action reports.
