Community Services Bureau - Area Coordinators

The Berkeley Police Department has strengthened the Community Services Bureau by adding Area Coordinators.  An Area Coordinator is a Police Officer who is  assigned to coordinate with other City of Berkeley departments and services, as well as work with the community to solve long term police related problems. The Area Coordinators also research special projects, attend community & Neighborhood Watch meetings, and regularly exchange information with the patrol officers who work your beat and neighborhood.

The Area Coordinators also work collaboratively with the City Of Berkeley Neighborhood Services Liaisons (NSL) from the City Manager's Office. The NSL's work on non-police related matters.

Area Coordinators can be reached at  (510) 981- 5806.  The office hours are Monday - Friday, 
8:00 to 5:00PM. They do spend time in the field on special projects and attend numerous meetings.
