California (Friday, December 14, 2007) --Are you
looking for something for your kids to do during the winter
break? The City of Berkeley Recreation Division is sponsoring a
Winter Break Program for youth ages 5-12 years old.
Two week-long programs are available:
Friday, December 21-Friday, Dec. 28, or
Monday, December 31- Friday, January 4.
Both programs run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
(holidays excluded) and extended care is available before and after
the programs for an additional fee. Youth can enroll for both weeks.
Activities include holiday crafts, gift-making, songs,
dance, music and prizes.
Captivating field trips that include ice skating, bowling, trips to
local parks, the main library, Lake Merrit and the U.C. Campus Art
Museum will make the season bright for all.
A snack will be included each day. A
barbeque cook-out will be included each week, though children must
