Urgent Need for
Berkeley Poll Workers |

| Berkeley, California (Monday, February 7, 2000)
The Alameda County Registrar of Voters is in urgent need of citizens to serve as
poll workers in the March 7, 2000 Direct Primary Election. Poll workers are needed
in Berkeley and in other cities within Alameda County. To serve as an election officer, a person must be registered to
vote in Alameda County and must be available to work from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on March 7th.
Persons serving earn $75 per day as a clerk or judge and $107.50 for serving as a
precinct inspector. Citizens who are bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Chinese
are also needed.
