Mental Health Division

Welcome to the Mental Health Division at the City of Berkeley, CA. We are part of the Health and Human Services Department.

The Mental Health Division provides a range of community-based mental health services to Berkeley and Albany residents.  We work with people in our clinics, in schools, in their homes, on the street or in shelters, and in a variety of other settings.  We can help:people in crisis; children, teens, and families experiencing emotional difficulties; people with serious mental illnesses and disabilities; and others who are in need of mental health or related social services. Our staff come from many different cultural backgrounds, offer services in different languages, and we strive to address the diverse needs of our local community.  Our staff includes licensed mental health professionals, case managers, psychiatrists, nurses, and peer counselors.  What all of our staff have in common is a shared commitment to improve the quality of life for the entire community.
