Mayor Hosts Delegation of Russian Environmentalists and
Participates in Discussion of Berkeley's Environmental Programs

On July 18, 2005, Mayor Tom Bates participated in a roundtable discussion about Berkeley’s leadership on environmental issues.

Berkeley’s Center for Safe Energy regularly hosts a delegation comprised of environmental activists from all parts of Russia, representing various nongovernmental organizations united by a common cause. Apart from participating in the roundtable discussion, the group also met with City of Berkeley Energy Officer Neil DeSnoo to learn about the City’s energy-efficiency programs.
