City Hall to Glow Red in Support of Heart Association’s ‘Wear Red for Women Day’

  Berkeley, CA – In support of the American Heart Association’s national Wear Red for Women Day on February 4^th, Berkeley City Hall will be lit red during the nights of February 3rd - February 6^th.

Wear Red for Women Day is part of a larger campaign to encourage women to pay attention to their hearts and help them live longer, stronger lives by reducing their risk for cardiovascular disease. Cardiovascular disease, which includes diseases of the heart and blood vessels, is the number one killer of women, according to the American Heart Association.

“I’m pleased that the City of Berkeley can provide such a festive reminder for all women to take care of their own hearts,” said Berkeley Mayor Tom Bates.
