STATEWIDE STUDY:
On Wednesday, top city, state and school officials will announce results of statewide analysis funded by the California Wellness Foundation. Berkeley’s top marks due to impressive health, mentoring, after school, and community programs for teens. Berkeley, CA – In a major study of California’s largest cities to be released on Wednesday, Berkeley will be named the most ‘teen healthy’ community in the state. The study ranked cities based on a range of services related to preventing teen pregnancy. Called
“Reality Check,” the study is set to be released by the Get Real About
Teen Pregnancy public education program and the California Adolescent
Health Collaborative. It
reviewed 55 of the most populated cities to determine the cities that best
ensure access to low or no-cost health services, give a youth voice in
community decision-making, and provide structured after school and
