TO GO HOMELESS ON APRIL 22nd
The Mayor’s homeless night was rescheduled
from March 19th due to the start of the Iraq War. Berkeley, CA – In an effort to learn first hand about the challenges facing the homeless community and the services available to them, Mayor Tom Bates will spend the night of April 22nd homeless on the streets of Berkeley. During the 24 hours he will spend homeless, the Mayor will visit shelters and other homeless facilities throughout the city. This event was re-scheduled from March 19th – the day the Iraq War began. The media is invited to attend all or part of the Mayor’s homeless night. Below are a few specific media opportunities.
