Mayor's Advisory Task Force on Health Services ***Read the Task Force's Preliminary Action Plan (PDF* 1.2 MB)*** In the fall of 2003, I convened the Mayor’s Advisory Task Force on Health Services to bring together the leadership of our community’s health service institutions. Our goal was to address the health issues of the City as a whole, as well as the health disparities in South and West Berkeley. The Task Force worked to identify and develop creative, practical and feasible solutions to the gaps in health services faced by Berkeley residents. The Task Force focused its attention and recommendations on health service areas that were identified as high need in Berkeley with low to moderate availability of existing resources. We have completed work on the first draft of the Task Force’s Preliminary Action Plan (PDF* 1.2 MB). Please review the document and provide any input you have on the proposed community outcomes and specific goals for the next three to five years.
