· Site 1.
STRAWBERRY BEACH- here, great for people who want to sit and
pick up. O.K. for kids. Carry bags up and empty them into the dumpster,
reuse bags if possible. WEST OF THE AREA, DOWN UNIVERSITY, lots
of glass- use 5 gal. buckets or double bags.
· Site 2. BRICK YARD COVE-
south of the main area; walk through the Knapp dirt storage yard to the cove. Look for the
signs for easy access and where to bring the bags. Carry bags up to the
dirt road to be picked up by truck. Great area for kids. Restrooms in
parking lot.
Site 3. FRONTAGE RD- From University Ave. to Ashby Ave.-
New Bay Trail, clean-up Berkeley Beach near the Ashby end, Drive down and
park near Ashby. Pile bags in the parking space
designated. No Restroom.
· Site 4. SHOREBIRD PARK BEACH and
ROCKY SHORE-On University Ave, near the Adventure Playground
(playground is closed). Best
area for kids, is near public swings and slide. Clean upper shoreline or park areas east toward Cal Adventures
or west to the Berkeley pier. Seawall Drive area for adults only, steep
rocks, wave splash & glass.
· Site 5. INSIDE THE HARBOR AREA-
The shoreline is rocky. Pick up the area between the ferry pier past the
Double Tree hotel and the Horn blower boats to the Olympic Circle Sailing Club. Bring bags up to the road,
or empty them in the dumpsters and reuse the bags. Place recyclables
next to the dumpsters.

6. GILMAN STREET-STORM DRAIN RUNOFF. Drive to Gilman St. take a
left and into the parking lot. Look for staff and pick up along the
shore from the runoff cove south toward University and toward Albany. At the
Virginia St runoff there is lots of glass! Carry bags back to the race
track parking lot and pile for truck pick up.
Site 7. ·
AQUATIC PARK- walk across the pedestrian overpass
or drive over to Bolivar drive and pick up along the shoreline. Look for
staff for new bags, return to main area for raffle.
