4th of July at the Berkeley Marina

Berkeley, California – The City of Berkeley invites the public to an exciting day of activities on July 4th at the Berkeley Marina.  There is no charge for admission to this alcohol-free event, which will run from noon until 10:00 p.m.  Activities will include entertainers, arts & crafts, free sailboat rides, free dragon boat rides, and a fireworks show off the end of the Berkeley Pier at 9:30 p.m.


Musical entertainment on the stage is scheduled as follows:

     7:00-9:30          The Back Pages

     11:00-8:00        Adventure Playground- Children must wear shoes and have an adult supervising.

     12:00-4:00        Shawnee the Clown - Stage Area
     1:00-4:00          Free Sailboat Rides at Cal Sailing Club
     1:00-8:00          Featherlight the Clown - Bait Shop
     1:30-7:00          Afro Cuban Rumba Drumming - SE Marina
     2:00-6:00          Free Dragon Boat Rides - K Dock

The event also will include arts & crafts booths, community information, international vendors, a giant slide, art projects, face painting and massages. 

Valet bicycle parking will be available free of charge near Adventure Playground. 
Personal fireworks are forbidden. 
Cars must be in by 7:00 p.m., and will not be permitted out until after 10:00 p.m. 
Please pick up your trash and keep our park beautiful.
