Nicole Drake - Legislative Aide Nicole Drake has been working for Councilmember Linda Maio since June 2007, previously working as the Community Coordinator for Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, Fifth District. Councilmember Maio appointed her to the Housing Advisory Commission in August 2007. Nicole's interests are in education, youth, environmental, labor, and social justice issues. She received her bachelor's degree from Occidental College in Public Policy, with an emphasis in Urban and Environmental Policy. Nicole has also worked as an organizer with the United Students Against Sweatshops, an organizer with the California Nurses Association, a Conservation Coordinator for the San Francisco Bay Chapter of the Sierra Club, a Research Analyst with the Los Angeles Alliance for a New Economy, working on a living wage impact study, and with the Urban and Environmental Policy Institute at Occidental College as the Coalition Coordinator to phase out the use of PERC (perchloroethelene) by the dry cleaning industry in Los Angeles County.
