Extend Time Limit on Plan Effectiveness and Collect Tax
Increment for the West Berkeley Redevelopment Plan and Project Area

Recommendation: Conduct a public hearing
and upon conclusion, adopt the first reading of an Ordinance authorizing the
City Manager/Executive Officer to extend the Time Limit on Plan Effectiveness
and Collect Tax Increment for the West Berkeley Redevelopment Plan and Project
Area by two additional years (for 2004/05 and 2005/06 ERAF payments) pursuant
to California Health and Safety Code Section 33333.6(e)(2)(D).

opened the public hearing for both items on the public hearing calendar. No speakers. Moved, seconded, carried (Maio/Wozniak) to close the public
hearing on the calendar items regarding extending the time limit and collecting
a tax increment and the Five-Year Implementation Plan.

carried (Worthington/Wozniak) to adopt first reading of Ordinance. Second reading scheduled for July 12, 2005.
