Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution: 1) authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute a contract with the State Department of Community Services and Development to receive a U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization Assistance Program grant, in the amount of $27,656 for the period April 1, 2006 through January 31, 2007, to provide weatherization assistance for eligible residents of Berkeley, Albany, and Emeryville; 2) approving the Priority Plan; and, 3) authorizing the City Manager to designate a representative to sign required fiscal and programmatic reports.

18. Congestion Management Agency Allocation: Spruce Traffic Safety Project (PDF, 348 KB)

Recommendation: Adopt a Resolution authorizing the City Manager to 1) execute an agreement with the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (CMA) and accept a Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) allocation in the amount of $100,000 for the period of June 1, 2006 to June 30, 2008 for the Spruce Traffic Safety Project between Rose and Vine Streets; and 2) appropriate the funding necessary to implement the project prior to receipt of the allocation, which will occur when the CMA has the funds to transfer, anticipated to be FY 2008.
