fighting water, including transportable pumping units, ultra large
diameter hose, transport and support vehicles, portable hydrants,

Municipal Code (BMC) Sections 23E.64.030A and 23E.68.030A and adding
Section 23E.80.035 to protect the archeological and cultural resources in
the West Berkeley Shellmound from possible damage by requiring an
Administrative Use Permit and preparation of an Initial Study for projects
that involve disturbance of soil in the area that the Landmarks
Preservation Commission proposed for landmark designation (the three
blocks bounded by University Avenue, Hearst Avenue, I-80 and Fourth
Street); 3) direct that public works projects follow the thresholds for
environmental review described in the interim plan and that the
environmental process be subject to review by the City's Environmental
