BERKELEY CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA PUBLIC
COMMENT: (Ten
minute maximum) CLOSED
SESSION: (The Council will
recess into Closed Session immediately after Public Comment
or immediately after Roll Call if there are no public speakers) The City Council will recess to closed session to discuss each of the following matters, not necessarily in the order listed below: 1. CONFERENCE
WITH LEGAL COUNSEL ANTICIPATED LITIGATION PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE
SECTION 54956.9 (c) Initiation of Litigation The Berkeley City Council will consider whether to
initiate litigation in connection with
the expenditure of Measure G bond funds for acquisition and improvement of
an East Bay M.U.D. reservoir and associated improvements, upgrading
and improving the existing water distribution system (including water
mains and hydrants) and development of a joint hills fire station. 2. CONFERENCE
WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE
SECTION 54956.9(c): Hanna v. City of Berkeley 3. CONFERENCE
WITH LABOR NEGOTIATOR PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54957.6: City Negotiators: James R. Keene, Jr., City Manager Unrepresented Employees: Confidential Executive and Management Employees, Classifications in Unit Z-1, which includes all Departmental Directors, Deputy Directors, City Attorney, Deputy City Manager, Assistants to the City Manager and other high level management positions. Please see attached list for a complete listing of all classifications in Unit Z-1. ADJOURNMENT: (The Council may adjourn this meeting to the City Council Chambers, 2134 Martin Luther King Jr. Way, and reconvene into Open Session at 7:00 p.m. to make a report, if any such report is required by law.) |
