Section 19.72.130 Proof of compliance.

    A.    Upon installation of the required energy conservation measures the City shall cause the commercial building to be inspected and this inspection shall determine compliance with this chapter. A certificate of compliance shall be issued and filed with the City when the requirements of this chapter have been met.
    B.    To encourage early compliance with this chapter, an energy inspection may be voluntarily undertaken and when all required energy conservation measures have been installed, a certificate of compliance may be issued and filed with the City.
    C.    When all required energy conservation measures have been installed in any commercial building and a certificate of compliance so stating has been issued and filed with the City, such building shall be exempt from the provisions of this chapter for a period of ten years from the issuance and filing of the certificate of compliance. Thereafter, an energy audit shall once again be required upon sale or major renovation as set forth in Section 19.72.030 and any measure required by Section 19.72.090 which does not meet the standards thereof shall be brought into compliance with that section.
