The following information is not a complete listing of City of Berkeley projects. It includes only projects that are managed by the Public Works/Engineering Division or Parks, Recreation & Waterfront/ Planning & Design Section. Plans and specifications may be examined at the Engineering Division, 1947 Center Street, 4th Floor, Berkeley, CA 94704, (510) 981-6400 unless otherwise noted and copies may be obtained upon payment (check or money order only) of specified nonrefundable fee, payable to "City of Berkeley". There is a $20 returned check fee. The projects do not have mail service and it is requested that an account number for Federal Express or similar service be provided with payment if mailing is desired.

Scope of Work: Work of Contract comprises construction of drainage improvements for the City of Berkeley (“City”), located at 1201 2nd Street, and ancillary work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents.
A California A, B, C-34, or C-42 contractor's license is required to bid this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract.
City will conduct a Mandatory Pre-bid Conference and Site Visit on May 21, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the corner of 2nd Street and Harrison Street.

13-10700 - FY 2013 Pathways Improvement Project
Scope of Work: The work done under these specifications includes but is not limited to: 1) replacement of damaged concrete walkway, 2) replacement of damaged concrete steps, 3) leveling of concrete stairway, and 4) notification, traffic and pedestrian control.
A California A or C-8 contractor's license is required to bid this contract.
The Contractor shall submit all contract documents before June 12, 2013.
The Contractor shall be prepared to start work on July 8, 2013.

$25/per set of plans and specifications, non-refundable.
The City charges a $20 fee for returned checks.

The work is to be performed at the following locations:
- Maryland Walk: Remove damaged concrete walkway and replace with new 3.5” thick concrete. Remove and replace 4 damaged concrete steps.
- El Mirador Path: Remove damaged concrete walkway and replace with new 3.5” thick concrete. Tilt a 5-step stairway back to level and compact the soil underneath to stabilize stairway.
The Project Engineer shall determine the order of locations in which the work will be performed. A map showing pathway locations is included in these specifications.
