CAR STOP LEADS TO RECOVERY OF STOLEN GUN

Berkeley, California (Wednesday, June 28, 2017) -   Recovered .22

   On6/25/17 at approximately 12:04am, a Berkeley Police officer conducted a traffic stop on a SUV for vehicle code violations onthe 2200 block of Bonar Street. The car didn’t immediately yield to theofficer’s lights and siren.  Instead, it pulled into the rear parking lotof an apartment building on the same block. 

A computer check of the occupants’information showed that the driver and front passenger were active toprobation.  During a probation search of the vehicle, a loaded .22 calibersemi-automatic handgun (which had been previously reported stolen) wasrecovered. 

Arrested were Jason Holman 35, of San Pablo and LaquonWalker 24, of Berkeley.
