Berkeley Echo Lake Camp
Berkeley Echo Lake Camp sits 7,400 feet above sea level in the hills, just 20 minutes from South Lake Tahoe. The various camp facilities include a recreation lodge, a dining hall for meals and company, hot showers, and conveniently located bathrooms. Relax and enjoy an incredible view of the Lake Tahoe Basin, a signature Echo Lake Camp experience.
Echo Lake’s tent cabins can accommodate anywhere between 2-10 people. Some of our cabins overlook the Tahoe Basin, while others are nestled among the trees. Our youth camp cabins house eight campers and two cabin staff, featuring bunks or cots with mattresses, close proximity to restrooms, and hot showers. The majority of our cabins do not have electricity. View a map of Echo Lake Camp.
Situated along the Pacific Crest Trail and minutes from Echo Lake and Desolation Wilderness, our camp promises an incredible camping experience with stunning views.
The camp caters to diverse interests with various recreation programs, including youth and family camps, Counselor-in-Training (CIT) programs, 50 and better programming, backpacking programs, and end-of-season facility rentals. To learn more about our camp programs, visit Overnight Camps.
